Nowaco Gastrojunior
Nowaco Gastrojunior is one of the most prestigeous competitions for hotel school students held in the Czech Republic. There are three categories to compete in: cook, pastry cook, waiter. After passing regional rounds fifteen best contestants complete in Brno to become best in the Czech Republic. Traditionally our school belongs among the best. We ranked first in 2006, 2007 and second in 2008 overall.
Gastro Hradec
Gastro Hradec is thought to be the "craddle" of competitíve gastronomy in the Czech Republic. The contestants take part in fruit and vegetables carving and in preparing decorative cakes or sculptures competitions. This annual competition is held in a wonderful town of Hradec Králové, which is nicknamed the "Republic Salon" and became famous for its modern gastronomy not only in the Czech Republic.
HO.RE.CA
To judge the quality of prepared festive boards there we have the HORECA competition which is annually held in Prague. It is traditionally connected with a rich culinary programme, where our students go for a day excursion. The festive boards are topically oriented depending on different feasts or anniversaries. Ostrava Carving CUP
This November competition in Ostrava iswidely visited by proffesional carvers from all over the Czech Republic. Students display their products - usually carved pumpkins and then they compete in time-framed carving (2,5 hrs). Our school annually achieves very good rankings.
Czech Carving CUP
This junior aimed carving competition for hotel school students is addressed not only for Czechs but also for Hungarians, Poles and Slovaks. Our school is proud of Miss Marketa Suchá - the absolute winner in 2007. There are also two categories: a in-brought carved composition and time-framed carving (2,5 hrs).
