The studies are aimed at vocational training of professionals in the field of mid-level management of hotels, accommodation, gastronomical and other service-providing facilities. In the spotlight there is the student and his/her widest possible share on creating and improving the educational process.
The educational strategy of the school deals with the continuous process of surveying and evaluating of educational needs of students. The school educational concept is consistently based on the principle of joint liability for their own students´ education, where the application develops students´ personal competences - the need to work on their own development, plan self-improvement, understand the need for lifelong learning in the society of the third millenium. The educational strategy is based on close links within the teaching and practice and on practical experience of students:
- professional knowledge and skills shall be improved by student´s choice from a number of courses: cold cuisine, confectionery, bartending, sommelier and decorative carving. Within these courses, the students are familiarized with the latest trends in these fields.
- the subject called Practice runs since the first grade in top-rated hotels all over Europe (Italy, Greece, Crete, Cyprus, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Malta)
- presentation in public is an intergral part of practical training. The students are allowed to develop their abilities and skills and experience public recognition during providing social and culinary events.
Apart from practical vocational training the priority is also given to language learning. The students develop their language abilities during practice abroad. Our school considers the knowledge obtained this way as a high quality one and that is the reason why the school broadens the possibilities of doing practice abroad every year.
The way of life of the school, all the processes and school activities as the approaches of the teaching team and other school personnel are based upon the principles of democratic civil society and on the principles of sustainable development as well as upon the rules for the application in the context of a modern dynamic labour market and the strategy of general application of information and communication technologies in all areas of the school work.
